Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE -- Joe Burrow tied a school record with five touchdown passes, as the sixth-ranked LSU football team scored on its first five possessions to batter Georgia Southern, 55-3, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

LSU (1-0) scored its second-most points in a season opener in the SEC era (since 1933), amassing 473 yards of total offense while holding the Eagles to only 98.

We looked very good. It reminds me of how we looked after playing Oregon in the season opener in the 2011 season. This will be a special year.
