re: If LSU and Ole Miss both go 10-2

The only thing that matters is if we win the west or finish 2nd behind an unbeaten Miss St. The standings are:
* - Miss State 5-0 8-0
* - Alabama 4-1 7-1
* - Auburn 4-1 7-1
* - Ole Miss 4-2 7-2
* - LSU 3-2 7-2
* - Texas A&M 2-3 6-3
Arkansas 0-5 4-5
The only one we would have to worry about is Auburn. Auburn would have to lose two times for us to jump them. So if Aub only loses to Bama that would give them two losses also, but wouldn't they be ranked higher than us because they beat us?
So doesn't this only come down to Auburn losing two times? Or am I not correct in that assumption? How could we jump Auburn if they beat us and we have the same record?
Then if Miss St lost to Bama and Ole Miss they would go to the SEC champ over us, right? If that is the case, then we are better off having Miss st win out because it looks better for our strength of schedule.
Having said all that, if Miss St wins out and Aub loses two times then we would finish 2nd in the SEC. Fl state probably won't lose which means two of the four spots are full. With that scenerio that would leave 9 legitimate 1 loss teams including Duke if none of they lose that we would have to contend with. I'm sure a bunch will lose another game along the way, but if there's a few that's just impossible for us to make it.
