LSU head coach Ed Orgeron announced Tuesday that junior defensive end Justin Thomas has withdrawn from school for personal reasons.

Orgeron said he hopes to have Thomas back in the spring.

Thomas, a native of Daphne, Ala., played in five games this season with one start. He last played in LSU's 42-28 win over Florida on October 12.

Dirty deeds going on back home in Bama? But seriously, I hope all is well with his family and that he can get back to his Tiger teammates as soon as possible. He was having a highly productive season. This will sting.

Yes Alum there are dirty deeds going on in Bama. Thomas has been one of our spy plants the entire time. We told him to go to Baton Rouge and report back on everything he could. He’s now back home in Daphne reaping the rewards of his espionage.

That sucks for Justin and the team, he was getting PT and starting to really play well. Whatever the situation is hopefully it works out for him and he can come back
