#LSU to also play Arizona State in football on Sept. 10, 2022 in Tempe & Sept. 9, 2023 in @LSUTigerStadium. @LSUfball
Per LSUSports.net:

LSU will face UCLA in Pasadena, Calif., at the historic Rose Bowl on Sept. 4, 2021. The Bruins will make the return trip to Tiger Stadium on Aug. 31, 2024.

Alleva also announced that LSU and Arizona State will play in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023. LSU will travel to Tempe for a game against the Sun Devils on Sept. 10, 2022, with the return trip to Baton Rouge slated for Sept. 9, 2023.
Here is what Director of Athletics Joe Alleva had to say on Monday:
quote:

“It’s our goal to play as an attractive non-conference schedule as possible,” Alleva said. “Getting teams to agree to a home-and-home series is very difficult but we will continue to make every attempt to bring a BCS-conference caliber opponent to Tiger Stadium.

“Scheduling is very difficult and done many years in advance. It’s important that you put together a schedule that prepares your team for the rigorous SEC schedule but also one that has balance so that your team is ready both mentally and physically for the conference slate. I think the addition of these teams to our future schedules gives us that.”

This is 10 times better than that Syracuse crap, but the sad part is these teams are more likely to bail on us down the road. Would love to play UCLA though in the Rose Bowl.

I would make any of these high profile teams come to Tiger stadium before going to their venue.

"we split the game and we were the "home team" in Tempe."
And they donated a metric butt tonne of money to the Katrina relief fund. They went out of their way to accommodate us, and proved to be very gracious hosts. I'm glad to see the series rescheduled.

Are you referring to Katrina game or the 2015/2016 home and home series that was cancelled? Tempe was supposed to be in 08 but we played there in 05 because of Katrina. ASU never came to TS. Supposedly we split the game and we were the "home team" in Tempe..
