LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva has requested that the Tigers’ October 17th game against Florida be played at night in Tiger Stadium, according to The Advocate.

The decision however is ultimately made by the television partners.
quote:

“If CBS wants all our games, they have our rights,” Alleva said.

Alleva said he talked to SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey earlier this week about keeping the Florida game at night.

“But if Florida is undefeated, that game is probably going to be at 2:30 (p.m.),” he said.
Florida will have to beat Ole Miss and Missouri to remain undefeated before the LSU game.

LSU plays Eastern Michigan at home this Saturday and then travels to South Carolina before the Gators come to town on October 17th.

Joe Alleva's request had nothing to do with the outcome.

I requested Fetty Wap's "My Way" on 97-9 The Box, but they were going to play it anyway.

Am I going to take credit for it? Hells yeah.

At least it'll be a little cooler if it does end up being a day game

With the pull Alleva has, this game will be at 10 AM

He is in a great position. He can make the request knowing it doesn't mean shite. Then have the excuse that he has no control over the situation when the fans get upset. Win-Win for Alleva.

@SG_Geaux, I completely agree. Also, if you don't want your team to play during the day, go follow some crap program that the TV networks will never pick up.

LSU fans suck so much. Ya'll bash him if he doesn't request it and ya'll bash him if he does request it. Alleva, along with every other AD in the country has ZERO control over this.

"Alleva has request LSU-UF be a night game."

That's sweet of him.

This means that the game will be a day game. Alleva folds faster than a wet paper bag.

I wouldnt mind sacrificing a night game for a UF win over Ole Miss. Anything to keep us ahead in the SECW standings.
