Famous New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne sent out a tweet this week saying that his client and former LSU linebacker Duke Riley "is the best overall skill set linebacker in the draft."

Riley, who had an outstanding senior season at LSU, is rated the No. 11 linebacker in the draft according to NFL Draft Analyst Matt Miller.

I really like Duke to have a great NFL career but come on... he wasn't even the best ILB on this year's team before Beckwith's injury.

This is true. But he played a different role than Beck. Beck was the thumper ILB. Duke played the other role, pass coverage, running down RB, etc. he did well in that role.

I also see Duke in a 4-3 scheme also.

I just wanted to read the comments. This is news? An agent promoting his client? Riveting! Aside from that BS, I do think Riley will surprise a lot of people. He could be a star for the Saints if only Payton didn't have such a hard on for Ohio St. players. Best of luck to Duke though! Always a Tiger!

If it's a slow news day, just publish the obituaries.

Who is Lil Wayne? A sports analyst. No doubt, Riley had a strong senior year

The best part of Duke's game is the stuff that fans or media will never see.. he's absolutely GREAT for any team's chemistry - that's straight from one of the players I know

You can't teach effort and commitment - Duke is not an "imposing" physical specimen for a linebacker and is not known for amazing feats of strength or speed. What he DID do as a senior ILB for us was run to the ball and tackle. He was rarely out of position and on top of all of that, made quite a few impressive plays and key stops.

Having said all of this, this is his agent quoted in the article, not NFL scouts or GM-type folks (i.e. the folks that matter.)
