The Tiger Rag is reporting that LSU head coach Les Miles spoke with members of the Gridiron Club in Baton Rouge on Friday and indicated that Saturday's game against Texas A&M will be his last game as head coach at LSU.
quote:

The coach appeared in good spirits, sources said, reiterating messages that he’d "always be a Tiger” and "thanks for a great 11 years," but informed the booster club's members, in an indirect but clear manner, that Friday’s meeting would be his last with them, even explicitly saying he would not be coaching LSU’s bowl game.

Miles has posted a 110-32 record as the head coach at LSU.

Thank you for 11 years, coach. You have represented LSU and Louisiana with class both on and off the field, and we will remember you fondly.

Best wishes, Les Miles. Thanks for these 11 years, they were wonderful. I am a LSU Alumni (Class 98), and I have enjoyed every game, bad ones and good ones. I will never forget those memory games, winning against Florida in Tiger Stadium making plays in 4 downs, beating Auburn in the final seconds on 4 qtr, and those fake fieldgoals. FOREVER LSU!!!

What's done is done, but this man gave us 11 years of his passion. Hopefully he gets an uproaring sendoff tomorrow. Pro-change or anti-change, it's time he moved into a revered part of LSU Football history.

All of these comments show what kind of man Coach Miles consistently proves to be. It says everything when as a fanbase we are beyond frustrated with the game product at times but beyond proud of who our leader is as a person. Louisiana people are passionate and real and appreciate those that are brave enough to represent us in the same ways. Thank you Coach for becoming one of us and for representing us. Geaux Tigers

I live near Penn State but I am an LSU fan. Post Paterno era brought in Bill O'Brien and the JoePa people ran him off. That is why he went to Houston. Now look. No offense, no defense, no tackling, and no pass coverage. They get a guy from Vandy and his assistants and are challenged in all basics of the game. When a guy of Miles' caliber gets dumped and recruits start leaving, as now, what good coach wants the job? To think boosters open wallets and demand a coach, and get it, what the hell is going on?

Yes, Miles has flaws but at least beats the middle of the road teams. I hope I.m wrong because I love LSU but damned I am very worried.
