Former LSU and current NFL Rookie running back Leonard Fournette has signed a four-year deal, fully guaranteed contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected him No. 4 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Details of the contract were not disclosed. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

Financial terms were not disclosed but with the NFL salary slotting system, it will likely be a little more than that of Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott, last year's No. 4 draft pick. Elliott got a four-year, $24,956,341 contract, which included $16,350,066 signing bonus, $24,506,340 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,239,085.

Congrats to LF7! I hope the Jaguars put an offensive line and receivers that can block and also a catching threat so as not to put him running against a brick wall every play.

It's an undisclosed number #. Says it was most likely a little more than Zeke's contract. So upwards of $25 mill over four years guaranteed.

How do the signing bonuses work? Elliot got 24m over 4 years plus another 16m up front bonus?

Lol...not quite. If the total deal is for 24 mill and 16 of that is up front signing bonus then the remaining 8mill will be paid over the 4 years of the contract. At least thats my understanding of it...but I could easily be wrong.
