LSU Enters Ole Miss Week With Nation's No. 1 Defense, No. 3 Offense

LSU will head into its showdown against Ole Miss with some of the best numbers in college football on both sides of the ball.

Through two games, the Tigers rank No. 1 nationally in total defense and No. 3 in total offense.

LSU's defense has been dominant to start the season, holding Clemson to just 145 total yards in the opener before limiting Louisiana Tech to 140 yards on Saturday. The Tigers' defense has allowed just two touchdowns on the season.

Meanwhile, Lane Kiffin's offense has piled up 1,172 yards through two games after posting 644 yards against Clemson and another 528 against Louisiana Tech.

The Tigers have scored 96 points through their first two games while allowing just 24.

LSU will now take those numbers on the road for its first SEC game of the season against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has been productive offensively as well, scoring 41 points in each of its first two games. The Rebels piled up 488 yards of offense in their season-opening win over Louisville before beating Charlotte 41-9 on Saturday.
