Kirk ever having Oklahoma in his final 4 shows how little he really knows about college football.

it's silly to be discussing playoffs now. Still way, way too early. The meat of the season is still in front of every team. Just wait until the last week or two to start predicting that stuff.

Not to say I agree with his rankings but as any ranking system should go, I believe he is simply stating that he would pick Baylor to beat any team in CFB in week 7 if they were matched up... And that LSU would beat anybody in the country today except for Baylor or Ohio State. Now on a totally different spectrum, if he was taking into account record and resume up until this point, then yes these rankings are flawed and stupid as neither tOSU or Baylor have beaten anyone yet.

So he is not applying the top 4, which strangely coincides with the number of teams going to playoffs, to the post season only to 6 weeks of current achievement.

OK, so why is a team who has played no teams with a winning percentage and snuck by two of them with 7 pt MOV ranked in his top 4? Certainly, there are other 6 win teams with more impressive records thus far.

"The only way 2 Big 12 teams are getting in the playoff"

 Or if you just read good you'd see these aren't his playoff selections. These are just his top 4 teams AS OF THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once one of those Big 12 teams lose to another he'll obviously drop them out of his top 4. Just be patient as the season works itself out effers.

I remember how informed he was in 2007.

The only way 2 Big 12 teams are getting in the playoff (and it would still be unlikely) is if one is undefeated and the other is 1 close loss to that undefeated team. For 3 to be in the top 6 would require 1 undefeated, and two 1 loss teams at the end of the regular season which is not possible in the Big 12.

As much as I don't like him. He has the knowledge and connections to know things that a normal fan does not. If he was right all the time why would anyone play the game.

His opinions are informed...like when he had two big 12 schools Baylor and OK in his top 4 and had a third TCU in this top 6? Yep that was a well informed top 4 right there. LMAO
