During ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday, Nick Saban spoke about Lane Kiffin's upcoming decision. Per On3:
quote:

“I think Lane’s decision is going to come down to one thing: where is the place that I can recruit the best players? And I think one of Lane’s apprehensions is that he’s had to use the portal to build his team at Ole Miss each year,” Saban said. “At LSU, he probably could recruit better talent and then just supplement his team by need with the portal.

“That’s probably the dilemma that he has, as well as his loyalty to his team that he’s coaching now that he wants to be able to continue to coach. So it’s a tough thing to have the right answer to.”
Saban also said Ole Miss should allow Kiffin to coach through the playoffs if he leaves LSU, as did Kirk Herbstreit.

Clearly Saban is telling him go to LSU, no brainer. Also, LSU job is rare opportunity that he may regret for the rest of his life if he doesn't take it.

Simple summary - LSU will be easier to get talent via HS and Portal. Trophies incoming.

The only tug at Ole Miss is seeing this year through, that’s it.

Coach the team in the playoffs?! That’s like your wife leaving you and she says you can have sex with her one more time before she runs off.

But that happens all the time. Hell I still have sex with my ex from time to time.

Hoping that means that he’s coming here to coach the good guys!!

The one thing that almost all of our decisions come down to...HAPPINESS. What do we think will make us the happiest in the future? That is usually goal fulfillment.

If his goal is to be at the top of the coaching market money-wise...he stays (Ole Mess will match any offer). If it's a NC...he comes. If he stays...get the Tulane coach.

All the attention Kiffin is getting is because of LSU job opening, otherwise, few people will remember him if he was at Ole Miss and he will probably go 8-4 next year if he is there.

I think he is gone, just trying to negotiate coaching team in playoffs. That’s what we are waiting for

I said several days ago that a factor FOR LSU is that LA is a lot better recruiting base than MS is. And just like Saban said, Kiffin has been living off the transfer portal. Their HS recruiting has been mediocre by SEC standards.

Is recruiting even still a thing now that players are free agents? Isn’t it just a matter of which school pays best?

If that’s the case, welcome to Baton Rouge!!!!

If that's true, then he's coming to LSU. Smart move, since we have the best young high school players in the country that grow up wanting to go to LSU. That's one reason why Ole Miss has never won anything, while LSU wins NC's regularly

recruiting better players will be easier to do @ LSU. In addition, he has (~90) million $$$$ (as reported) reasons to come to BR...Loyalty will have a tough time competing with that kind of money

Ole Miss will match whatever money LSU offers. That will have nothing to do with his decision.

Who gives a shite? Stop posting about this utter fricking nonsense. He’s staying at Ole Miss, thank fricking god

Obviously, you give a shite because you are posting. If you are scared of him coming to LSU, just say you're scared! I would bet scared too. Lol

If he stays at Ole Miss, it is because of Landry’s antics.
