Injured LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss sent out the following tweet on Tuesday afternoon from a hospital, likely indicating that he was having surgery to fix a lingering foot injury.

Moss, a transfer from N.C. State, sat out last season and has yet to play in a game for the Tigers.

LSU will likely request a medical redshirt for Moss who is the son of NFL Hall Of Famer Randy Moss.

I hope he comes back strong next season. Would love seeing his dad with the purple and gold on at the games

I imagine his dad owns a lot of properly-colored gear if he could just turn them inside-out.

Clearly he hasn't been lazy in his downtime. Lots of emotions on those sleeves.

Sucks his initial surgery wasn’t successful, especially since he wasted a lot of time rehabbing. Hopefully, his path to full health is much smoother this time.
