Former LSU WR Malachi Dupre has been promoted from the practice squad by the Buffalo Bills and has joined the team's 53-man roster this week. Per Bills.com:
quote:

Buffalo elevated WR Malachi Dupre, RB Marcus Murphy and DT Rickey Hatley to the 53-man roster. To make room for them the Bills placed WR Andre Holmes and RB Travaris Cadet on injured reserve. Holmes missed last week’s game with a neck injury. Cadet suffered a fractured ankle in Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Dupre (6-2, 196) has been on Buffalo’s practice squad since mid-September. A seventh-round pick of the Green Bay Packers this past spring, the LSU product did not make the team’s final roster.

He’s getting at least the league minimum now, right? I hope the guy makes some money.

Dupre as all the physical tools to be a top WR in NFL. Just hope he can get focused to stay in the NFL. MAybe not making the GB active roster woke him up. Sucks hes in buffalo and will be playing in 2 degree weather

Dude should have stayed another year. If your not a first rounder stay and help your school, but there is no loyalty today. We have the ME generation.

Agreed. This generation wants it all and wants it now. I hope Dupre makes the most out of this current opportunity.

Pulling for his success. Keep in mind he was a 5* and can't find a pro team. High school recruiting is bs

He definitely would not be slugging it out on practice squads if he'd stayed for another year of development, regardless of the low quality of WR coaching this year. I'm sure that last bit was a reason he left, but the experience alone would have led to a better draft position, contract and future.

Should have come back for his senior season and developed into a better receiver. Instead of jumping from one practice squad to another. It’s sad to see good college players chase that money before they’re ready, but I can’t blame them. The trouble is if they don’t make it, they have nothing to fall back on. I hope Malachi takes full advantage of this opportunity. You never know if he’ll ever get another one.
