Former LSU defensive coordinator Daronte Jones has been re-hired as the Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach, the team announced Monday afternoon.

Jones was previously the defensive backs coach with the Vikings before Ed Orgeron hired him to be his defensive coordinator last season.

Jones was not retained by new head coach Brian Kelly.

He was in no win situation as DC last year. I'm glad things worked out for him.
