Former LSU National Champion cornerback Chevis Jackson is reportedly joining Miami's staff as a defensive backs coach.

The Mobile, Ala. native played at LSU from 2004-2007, followed by a short career in the NFL.

He was a graduate assistant at LSU in 2015 and then went on to coach defensive backs at Ball State, Kansas, and Marshall.

Well, there you go. Good money in position coaching.

Let him get those Florida connections and we can hire him when Raymond retires

Good for him. Was really hoping BK would’ve hired him instead of Raymond.

Well, we all know what Raymond’s contract looks like. It is clearly a short leash.
Jackson taking the job at Miami is a smart move for him. Obviously it would be more money, but it’s obviously a bigger school with somewhat of a tradition in the secondary.
If Raymond doesn’t work out, and Jackson has done well at Miami, that will be a much easier decision to make than bringing him in from Marshell. Well, I think it would be.

All I remember about Chevis Jackson was Beane Wells in nati, putting up a stiff arm in 1st qrtr that sent him flying back a few feet
