Nobody knows what might have happened had the officials called that play correctly. I think that's why the game is played for 60 minutes instead of 54.

Absolute worst call in this rivals history. I watched that game and I knew right then and there that the refs were going to ensure Bama got this win. Terrible absolutely terrible call.
