LSU special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto told reporters at LSU's media day on Sunday night that five players are working out returning punts and kicks during practices.

Currently competing for the job are wide receivers Trey Quinn and Tyron Johnson, running backs Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice, and defensive back Donte Jackson. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“We’ve got a good problem. We’ve got four or five guys who can do it. It’s a good problem to have,” Peveto said Sunday. “They’ve all looked good. They can all run. They can all catch. They’ve got real good ball skills. We feel pretty good about it.”
It is unsure if defensive back Tre'Davious White, who returned punts last season for LSU, will remain in the special teams mix for 2015.
