ESPN's Alex Scarborough ranked LSU No. 9 in his pre-spring defensive line position rankings:
quote:

9. LSU: Ed Orgeron will have his hands full with this group, but what it lacks in depth it has in potential. Christian LaCouture and Davon Godchaux are back at tackle, but with Jermauria Rasco and Danielle Hunter gone, that leaves seldom-used Tashawn Bower, Deondre Clark and Sione Teuhema as the lone incumbents at defensive end.
Complete Rankings:
1. Alabama
2. Ole Miss
3. Tennessee
4. Florida
5. Auburn
6. Missouri
7. Mississippi State
8. Georgia
9. LSU
10. Texas A&M
11. Arkansas
12. South Carolina
13. Kentucky
14. Vanderbilt

Yeah idk about 9th?? That's a bit far fetched, I think LSU will surprise people this year on the line. Want to see what Valintine looks like.... And Harron could move to end in situations and then put the pass rushers in on third downs.

No mention of Quentin Thomas, Valentine, Bain at DT. The DE lack of experience is a cause for concern, but with 5 guys who could start DT, you have to imagine that there are going to be some heavy fronts with some of these guys at DE as well. There are also several guys like Lewis Neal, who are veteran and will play DE. I think the group will be a much better pass rushing unit.

Thanks Chavis for your undersized underperforming shite on the DL. With the history Lsu at 9 on DL is unacceptable.

Herron was a DE who moved inside, move him back outside. With Valentine and Lealaimatafao, Bain and Gilmore, we should be deep enough at tackle.

That's not a flattering picture of LaCouture....his eyes look like they are going different directions.

I think LSU should be higher than MSU and UGA. Everything else looks about right.

gatortrav88, Rasco was a senior. Not sure the ncaa allows for a second senior season.
