LSU head coach Ed Orgeron joined 104.5 ESPN’s "Off the Bench" on Tuesday and was asked about Devin White's targeting call from last week and named three players who could fill in for him while he sits out the first half vs. Alabama.
quote:

"I talked to Dave (Aranda) this morning," Orgeron said. "Patrick Queen, Micah Baskerville, and Damone Clark have all done a good a done job for us. We have some good linebackers, we need to get those guys ready to play and see which one can do the best job and have him play the first half."

"We're going to play our defense, not change a whole bunch and then adjust to what they do. Obviously, we are going to miss Devin."

"I want to say something about that call though," Orgeron said. "It's very unfortunate. I thought it was very unfair and I don't think it was the right call but there is nothing we can do about it now. We have to move on. We can't blink, that's the past and we're moving forward."

If anything the ref could have called roughing the passer, but it was not targeting. No part of the QB's helmet was touched by the defenders helmet.

who is the biggest of the bunch. If I have to go off of Florida vs The backups(23&8) on that 1 drive where they ran all the way down the field......I'd say Bakersfield will start.

" there is nothing we can do about it now. We have to move on." This is why they will keep making these ridiculous calls right here.

What action do you suggest we take? Should we refuse to play against the gumps? That'll show'em!

He needs his team and coaches to be focused on Sabama, not some BS call that no one can do a damn thing about. These refs make money on these games. They bet the line and make sure the spread is covered. Kick-backs are going to the Gestapo members of the NCAA. The NCAA is nothing more than organized crime. Too connected to be investigated. Too much money rolling through political hands. That's the root of the problem, not some BS call a ref makes to ensure an opposing team will cover the spread.

The SEC is not our friend. OK, nothing new. It sucks, but we either get stuck to the flypaper of rage, or channel that anger constructively and plan and scheme to win! We are LSU!!! Geaux Tigers!!!

Correct response. We'll sorry about the blown call because you can't. You're busy. We'll do our job.

Flashback to 2010: This football team has resolve. This football team has want. We are going to scheme the way we scheme on defense and I am not going to comment on anything more regarding the game last week. Have a nice day.
