Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
During the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said that he will work with defensive coordinator Dave Aranda to prep for Alabama's offense which is run by his former colleague Lane Kiffin. Per SDS.com:
Both coaches connected again when Kiffin hired Orgeron to be the DL coach at Tennesee in 2009 and again when he took over at USC from 2010-2013.
To this day, both Orgeron and Kiffin are good friends at talk multiple times a week. With the Nov. 5th showdown between LSU and Alabama quickly approaching, Orgeron says those phone calls will stop until after the game. Per The Advocate:

“Those things I can mention are obvious things (to Aranda),” the coach said Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference. “I will help out with formations, but Dave is outstanding. Kiffin has brought Alabama to the spread offense, it’s all spread running the quarterback. Now he’s in the shotgun and pistol.”

“I talk to him two to three times a week, but we’re going to take a hiatus these next two weeks,” Orgeron said Tuesday. “I know he’s going to want to talk to me, but I ain’t answering back. I know how he is.”
