LSU head coach Ed Orgeron met with the media Monday and was asked about passing cordinator Joe Brady who will be mentioned for many open job at other schools over the next month.
quote:

Q. You talk about Coach Peyton. In the past he's always talked about when assistant coaches of his have been wanted by other teams, that means they're doing something right. You have a hot coach right now. This week is SEC Championship game, but in between that happen and the recruiting, is there a time when you're going to sit down with Coach Brady and map out what the future looks like for him at LSU since there are a lot of programs wanting to speak with him?

ED ORGERON: We're a step ahead. I think we're in good shape. You want that with a lot of your assistants. You want them to have a lot of success, go on. But we're going to compete. We have a plan in place. I think we're in good shape.
Brady, who is in his first season with LSU, came to Baton Rouge after serving as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints from 2017-2018.

On Sunday, Brady's name was mentioned for the offensive coordinator opening at Texas after Tom Herman fired Tim Beck.

If Joe Brady takes the Texas job, he should understand that part of it is getting kissed on the cheek by Tom Herman at least twice a week.

Hmmmm coaching with Tom Herman or Coach O? That’s an easy answer. Go to a program trying to change its direction or stay at the school that has already climbed that hill? Easy answer. Go to the big 12 who’s getting left out of the playoff conversation or stay in the best division in the best conference with the most money? Easy. Stay at a place that has all the talent you could dream of and getting better by the day or switch to one where you have to rebuild to a degree? Easy answer. Try to help change the culture which hasn’t been changed at Texas yet or stay at LSU where the culture has been established for decades? Easy answer. Go to a more liberal city in Texas or stay in a more sane city in Louisiana? Easy. Go eat some decent BBQ in Texas or stay in a state and city where the food is as diverse as it’s people? Again easily decided. It’s LSU without a doubt. Just ask all those previous LSU coaches where they would truly rather be? I’d even ask ole Tom if he thinks he made the right choice when he stuck LSU the finger to go to be the longhorn HC? I bet I know the truthful answer.

It is like anything else new. What Joe brought was a great change and is tearing defenses apart. But next year the good teams will be ready for the new offense. We need to keep him and move him into the OC at some point. I think more than anything develop Myles' skills in the off season. Especially reading defensive setups.
