Ed Orgeron Says DT Signee Tyler Shelvin Won't Enroll This Summer At LSU

“We expect most guys to be in,” the coach said from the Southern Hotel. “The one that I know won’t be in right now is Tyler Shelvin because he’s going to summer school. I expect the rest of the guys to be in.”

Six of LSU’s 23 signees in the 2017 class enrolled in January, and the other 17 were expected to enroll in three weeks for the start of the summer semester June 5. Shelvin won’t be with them for the duration of summer workouts, Orgeron said.

Asked if he had confidence that Shelvin will enroll in time for preseason camp, the coach said, “He’s got some work to do. I feel like he will be.”
