LSU head coach Ed Orgeron spoke at the Le Pavillon Petroleum Club in Lafayette, LA on Monday night and provided a quick update on star pass rusher Arden Key, who has been taking time off away from the football team for "personal reasons" since February 15. Per TheAdvertiser.com:

Orgeron updated the status of star sophomore defensive end Arden Key, who took a leave of absence from the program during spring drills for disciplinary reasons.

"We're planning on him being back for summer school and working out with the football team," he said. "We still have a couple of things we need him to get done. I saw him today. He's doing very well. If everything goes as planned, he'll be with us this summer. He'll be going to summer school and doing everything the rest of the team is."
Key recently returned back to Baton Rouge in early April after spending time back home.

I heard Ed say on Lafayette radio that Arden still had "a few loose ends to tie up"

His draft stock is sinking very fast. This BS reason for missing spring practice is just that total BS. He should be kicked off the team for the distraction!

"We still have a couple of things we need him to get done." So it wasn't solely Key's choice.
