Head coach Ed Orgeron was on College Football Playoff media teleconference Tuesday morning and confirmed that outside linebacker Michael Divinity Jr. has been cleared and will play in the National Championship vs. Clemson.

Q. I know a decision hasn't been made on Michael Divinity yet, but let's say he is back on the team. You guys have made due without him for quite a few weeks and have actually looked really strong the last few weeks. What kind of role do you imagine he could have if he does return?

ED ORGERON: You've got breaking news. Michael Divinity will be back with the team. A final decision was made this morning. So good job breaking it. How about that? Good deal.

We'll see. Obviously, Mike has been a tremendous pass rusher for us. I know we're definitely going to use him. He'll be back in a role, what he's doing, and we'll see what fits best. He's definitely going to play for us, and we'll definitely use him in the best situations we can.

Hopefully he has finally realized the weed (yes, that was the "personal issue" he was "dealing with") isn't worth losing his football career over, as well as letting down his team. If he CHOOSES to stay on the right path he will be playing on Sundays.

I hope we get a big enough lead that every swinging dick on the roster can get at least 1 play on the field. Except the punter. He can ride the pine.

This is his 1 shot to prove to NFL scouts what he is made of. It will be fun to watch him in this game!

GOOD for him. He took the harder road, paid the price and will ultimately get rewarded for his perseverance. Too many throw in the towel too soon. This will be a life lesson that can pay him rewards in his future. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
