LSU senior tight end Dillon Gordon announced Friday night that he will enter the NFL Draft after his request for a fifth year of eligibility was denied.

Gordon, a senior from Edgard, La. missed most of the 2015 season with an achilles injury and was seeking a medical redshirt which would grant him one more year of eligibility.

Gordon played in LSU's 2015 opener against Mississippi State but left the Tigers' second game of the season against Auburn with a left achilles tendon injury. He re-injured the same achilles we he returned for LSU's 35-28 victory against Florida on Oct. 17.

That sux. He already way behind the 8ball. I wish him the very best, but realistically, he's looking at being a UFA.

Nice of the NCAA to finally make a decision. I was afraid another one of our guys would have been screwed before the draft with some group unable to make a decision.
