LSU junior running back Derrius Guice met with reporters during Tuesday's player media session and was clearly excited to finally start the season this Saturday.

Guice, who returned to practice on Monday after having his wisdom teeth pulled last week, said he is "ready to rock and roll," and is "tired of playing against his own teammates."

But...but...his leg fell off last week! He's horribly injured AND had his wisdom teeth pulled!

I know Guice is tough and he's ready to roll. He just needs to be careful not to develop infection where those wisdom teeth were pulled. Abscess near the brain can be very serious and would be ashamed to miss time during conference play for something like that. I think that's why Coach O is being cautious at this point. Besides, everyone could benefit from early season game reps. Geaux Tigers!

College teams should go the NFL route and have joint practices. Would be great for both programs.

Take a huge bite out of the big time DG. The faster NB gets up to speed, the fresher you can be in the 4th quarter to dominate.
