CBS Sports is predicting that LSU will be ranked No. 2 in the initial College Football Playoff Rankings which will come out next Tuesday, October 30.
quote:

2. LSU
Speaking of tougher games coming, here is Alabama's next opponent. The Tigers and Tide have a week off before facing each other. Every opponent LSU has played this far has a record above .500, and their only loss came at Florida, which is why I have them ahead of the other unbeaten teams.
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Notre Dame

5. Michigan
6. Texas
7. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
9. Kentucky
10. Florida
11. Ohio State
12. Texas A&M
13. Washington State
14. Washington
15. UCF
16. Utah
17. Iowa
18. West Virginia
19. Stanford
20. Oregon
21. Wisconsin
22. NC State
23. USC
24. Penn State

If LSU were to beat Alabama, The Playoff rankings would look the exact same in the top for, but they would just swap LSU and Bama

LSU isn't jumping Clemson when LSU has a bye week and Clemson has the softest schedule remaining.

It's the first ranking. No one can jump anyone.

Well of course CBS wants us to be ranked #2. They want that primetime game #1 vs. #2 to get them as many views as possible.

Yeah, they'll get a lot more viewers if LSU is 2 instead of 3 or 4.

Don't understand how Georgia is ranked below Texas....Georgia loses AT #2 LSU while Texas loses at HOME to shite Maryland

Texas lost the first game of the season and has a good win over OU. UGA has no good wins, lost midway through the season, and got thoroughly stomped.

Texas beat #8 OU. UGA has beaten nobody. There's a chance they aren't that good without Chubb and Michel.
