LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was on 1045 ESPN Radio this morning and gave high praise to sophomore running back Leonard Fournette, calling him the most improved player on the offense.

Here is more of what coach Cam had to say about Fournette, per Shea Dixon with 247:
quote:

"He’s like a lot of great players," Cameron said. "They are never satisfied. They never feel like they have arrived. Even with what he did in the bowl game, he came into this spring dialed in and focused on certain things he wanted to get better at. And he’s done that."

"DJ Chark has had an outstanding spring, as well as Ethan Pocic and a few other guys, but you would be hard-pressed to have me tell you anyone but Leonard Fournette is the most improved player on our offense," Cameron said. "I tell people that, and their eyes kind of open up, because he was probably our best player a year ago. But he is.

"He’s tremendously improved. He’s a special kid and a special player. People are going to get to see a lot of Leonard Fournette in Tiger Stadium this fall."
The Tigers are off this week for Spring Break and will return to practice next Tuesday, April 14th.

LSU's Spring Game is set for Saturday April 18th at 1pm.

Yeah, if this guy is most improved, he better get the ball. Guy was already real good for a freshman and didn't get as many touches as he should have. I'm expecting much of the same at QB so the ball should just get snapped directly to him. It's all about efficiency

Good, no more bull shite to justify giving him under 10 carries in a game. Needs 25 touches a game minimum.

Well here's to praying that he's the kind of RB that can carry an offense, because no one seems to be saying anything especially positive about the QBs.
