LSU landed their first commitment for the class of 2020 on Monday night and it was a big one...

McKinnley Jackson, a four-star prospect from Lucedale, Mississippi gave his verbal pledge to the LSU coaching staff this week is expected to push for the No. 1 defensive tackle for the class of 2020 when his times comes.

Wow I'm impressed with this young guy. He's extremly smart for his age. Advanced. He's not really physically mature yet, and he's very quick. Uses his hands well but yeah he won't get through lineman in the SEC that way but if you watch his film he recognizes screens like I've never seen, he knows when to be patient and when to rush hard, that's impressive for a young guy. Basically it shows that he's a thinker as well as a physically gifted young man. I'm impressed. These are the types of guys LSU needs and have been missing. The guys who are mature mentally but physically as well. Those are the types Bama were getting but haven't been so lucky lately in getting. Hoping O can start identifying these kids whether they are 2* 3* 4* or 5*. Hastings at Auburn is a great example that stars don't mean a darn thing if you can find the ones who want to be great and have the maturity both mentally and physically to do so. That's what LSU needs.

Yea the one guy had good size but gave up as soon as contact was made. That’s a powerful 15 year old though
