Update:

Colins Simmons committed to Texas.

Caden Durham committed to LSU.

Primary LSU targets and high school teammates Colin Simmons and Caden Durham will announce their college commitments Thursday afternoon at 2 pm CT.

Simmons is a five-star edge rusher with LSU, Texas, and Miami as his final schools. The 6-3, 225-pounder has been recruited hard by the Tigers coaching staff but could be Texas-bound.

Durham is a four-star running back with LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M as his final schools. LSU is the favorite to land the Lone Star recruit.

Both Simmons and Durham are teammates at Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas.

Stay tuned for updates.

Lots of wasted time on these guys. Overall this class is a disappointment coming off last year's West Championship and big win in the bowl game. Not 1 5* that I see, and none on the horizon. Just look at the big boys of CFP and their recruiting classes always have 3-5 5* because by and large these kids are difference makers. Always exceptions, but need them to compete with Bama, OSU, Clemson, Georgia.

Doesn't look like Collins is coming. There's always hope but imo he's Texas. Money talks.

Wouldn’t that suck if Colin was helping recruit these guys to LSU but then flipping to Texas at the last minute for more money causing lots of tension between him and LSU(Texas&LSU future conf. Rivals) generating more attention to his name, image and likeness, which, in turn, generated more money for him. That would suck.

Man I should be giving these kids advice on how to play the NIL game.

The story from Gainesville where a recruit was promised a big NIL deal and then she showed up to campus and the Gators were like “uh, we don’t have it” so they let him out of his letter of intent. The shenanigans / bidding wars they unleashed with the NIL / portal combo is just nuts. I mean, Miss State will pay a lineman $75k a year and then Bama says come be out 3rd string for $100k and bye-bye
