Many 2016 LSU Football signees will arrive on campus this week to enroll and begin summer classes, with the exception of four-star defensive tackle Edwin Alexander who is not expected to enroll until August, according to The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.
quote:

St. Thomas Aquinas defensive tackle Edwin Alexander is not expected to enroll in summer classes at LSU, multiple sources confirmed to The Advocate. He’ll work this summer to reach qualification benchmarks and could enroll in August. Alexander did not answer several phone calls this week, and St. Thomas Aquinas coach John White did not return a message seeking comment.

Alexander, rated a four-star prospect, is ranked the eighth-best defensive tackle in the nation in this year’s class, and the 310-pounder is seen as a potential nose tackle in LSU’s new 3-4 scheme. The Tigers expect him to qualify over the summer and be eligible by preseason camp in August. A junior-college route is the fallback plan.

For those of you who made remarks about Edwin not being able to read or add, the school of St. Thomas Aquinas wasnt prepared for kids who came from public schooling. As we all know St. Thomas is a private school they're advanced compared to public schools & Edwin wasn't the only one struggling all of the black kids were struggling Edwin just happened to be a star football player for the school that's why his academic problems came about which was suppose to be in confidentiality of the school not broadcasted all over the net, so don't put the blame on Edwin because he couldnt adjust to the way they teach things at that school, I blame St. Thomas!!!!!!

Alexander had other issues too. He was so overweight and out of shape, early in the season, that he couldn't play 3 plays in a row, much less a series. He was not impressive, at all, no motor, no explosiveness, just the biggest kid on the field.
