Despite a late push from several schools leading up to the final hours of National Signing Day, elite five-star running back Harlem Berry officially signed with LSU on Wednesday morning.

Berry, a 6-0, 180-pounder from Metairie, La. (St Martin's Episcopal), is rated the No. 1 running back in the country and the No. 1 player in Louisiana.

He committed to LSU at the Under Armour All-American game in January, picking the Tigers over Texas and Florida.

180 lb LB. We can't get Perkins bulked up enough to be an every down edge. I don't see the #1 RB turning into an LB which is the hardest position on Def.

Has he ever played LB? He has perfect size/speed for an elite LB and since it seems RB is not in his future, would he/could he help LSU at that position and maybe have an NFL future. I remember a pretty good HS RB being a great LSU LB....Devon White. Boy wouldn't that be nice to have.

What the hell happened to Kaleb Jackson? I didn't see him get one lousy carry the last half of the season. Did I miss it or is he in the dog house?

Great power back but doesn't have the wiggle or open field moves.
