The LSU coaching staff received some great news on Saturday night when elite four-star safety Grant Delpit from Houston, TX gave his verbal pledge to the Tigers.

He chose the LSU over Texas A&M, Auburn, Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Texas.


The 6-3, 182-pound prospect from Houston, TX will finish his high school playing career at at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He is rated the No. 4 overall safety in the country according to 247Sports.

LSU now has 15 verbal commits for the class of 2017 with the addition of Delpit.
