LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron didn't waste any time on Tuesday to visit with a major target for the 2017 class.

Bryan Jones, a 6-5, 240-pound defensive end from Baton Rouge, walked into his Madison Prep Academy gym for a 5am workout and was greeted by Orgeron. Per SECCountry.com:

“He was in there the whole time watching me and observing me by recording some of the workouts I did,” Jones said. “It was a blessing to see my hometown team in person and for him to be up that early to see me. That’s a lot of love, too.

“That’s showing me that they’re really interested in me, and that’s very early for a person to be up. I mean, I just like it. It means a lot to me and it shows that I am being recognized by one of the best schools.”

Jones is rated the No. 7 strong-side defensive end in the country and the No. 8 overall player from Louisiana, according to 247 Sports.
