LSU freshman Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney participated in the Nike Basketball Academy in Santa Monica, California this week and played against some of the best amateur players in the country.

NBA stars like LeBron James, James Harden, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis.
were on hand to guide and teach some of the young players and many scout that attended the event were very impressed with Simmons.

Here is what some of them had to say:

Holding his own against AD??? Wow!!! I knew he was good but against Pro players playing that way is a diff story. Looks like we do have a real star here. If Epps and Robinson really progress this year we could be very very good. I pretty much know Simmons will be a great leader and competitor on the floor better than what we've had in the last two so I think LSU will now win the close games we lost last year. We gonna be a better team than I thought even if the two guys mentioned don't progress much. If they do though look out..... Final Four!
