Four-star junior center Jerrell Colbert committed to LSU on Sunday evening, according to Evan Daniels with 247Sports.

Colbert, a 6-9, 210-pound prospect from San Antonio, Texas (Cornerstone Christian) is rated the No. 4 center in the country for the class of 2021 and the No. 3 overall player from the state of Texas.

Colbert chose the Tigers over offers from schools like Baylor, Memphis, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and many others.

"I picked them because basically it's where I’m most comfortable at and the best fit for me to get to the next level with their training," Colbert said.

Colbert, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound center out of San Antonio (Tex.) Cornerstone Christian, took an official visit to LSU back in December, and that's when he realized that the Tigers might be his potential landing spot.

"I saw all the players and they all said that LSU was the best choice because I could get the best training," Colbert explained. "When I saw the practice I could see they do really well with training. This was the best decision for me, and I think they do well with big men"

Will Wade's ability to recruit and restock talent especially after having his momentum stopped after last years shenanigans is unparalleled for LSU BBall in my lifetime. I was too young for Dale Brown. LSU I thought lost too much from last year to even make the tourney. Will Wade is the gift that keeps on giving.
