LSU continued to bolster its roster through the transfer portal on Friday with the addition of Texas State shortstop Dawson Park.

One of the top infielders available, Park brings both offensive production and defensive versatility to Baton Rouge after a standout 2026 season with the Bobcats. He slashed .301 at the plate while launching 13 home runs and driving in 52 runs, emerging as one of the premier middle infielders in the portal.

Park started 93 games across two seasons at Texas State, spending time at both second base and shortstop while earning a reputation as an elite defender.

His commitment gives LSU head coach Jay Johnson another experienced transfer addition as the Tigers look to reload for 2027, with Park expected to compete for a significant role in the middle of the infield.

Park joins former Gonzaga pitcher Landon Hood as LSU’s second commitment for the transfer portal this offseason.
