LSU coach Paul Mainieri joined The Jordy Culotta Show on Tuesday morning and revealed that right-handed pitcher Landon Marceaux (6-5, 2.29 ERA, 91.2 IP, 22 BB, 107 K) will start for the Tigers in Game 1 of the Eugene Regional vs. Gonzaga.

Mainieri also said that center fielder Giovanni DiGiacomo (hamstring) "should be ready to go" in the regional.

The first pitch between LSU and Gonzaga on Friday night is set for 9 p.m. CT (ESPN3).

I think you overestimate to mate how many schools have access to that tech. Perhaps a handful at most. No knock on the Zags but that’s something I’d expect their hoops team to have over their baseball team

Tigers must not have that tech stuff, or don't know how to use it...

Well it’s already been reported that LSU wasn’t able to use it this year. At the end of the day you still have to hit when you step in the batters box. LSU hit 47 more HR’s than Gonzaga and had almost 80 more RBI’s all while playing a tougher schedule and in a tougher conference. You must not know how to do the slightest bit of research before you post.

Just throw strikes. Zags don't have a ton of power.

Well good. Now the Zags can put on their virtual reality glasses and hit against him in practice all week.
