OXFORD, Miss.-- The LSU baseball team dropped the opening game of the series against the Ole Miss Rebels, 14-3, Thursday night at Swayze Field.

LSU and Ole Miss return to action in Game 2 at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday.

This team stinks. It seems like every year there is lack of depth in the pitching staff. There must be 15 pitchers on staff but none of them are consistant and most simply are simply not good. Then there is the annual horrible display at the plate where LSU makes virtually any opposing pitcher look like an All-American. It is just hard to deal with the inconsistent and erratic display that LSU Baseball has become.
