UPDATE:
Jared Foster has been reinstated to the team according to a press release from LSU Sports.

Original:
LSU second baseman Jared Foster had his eligibility restored after winning an appeal, according to Ross Dellenger with The Advocate:
quote:

The decision now lies with LSU coach Paul Mainieri to reinstate Foster to the team. Foster received the news Tuesday after an appeal meeting earlier in the day. Mainieri was not available to comment on the news immediately as the Tigers were in the midst of playing UNO on Tuesday night in the team’s final regular season non-conference game.
Foster was ruled ineligible last Friday.

Expect coach Mainieri to be asked about Foster after the UNO game concludes on Tuesday night.

Was never truly ineligible. All he had to do was change his major. Once he learned that, he changed it, showed up at the committee and showed them. Done. NCAA verified. No one on the planet can say he should be ineligible. It's official.

I am not quite sure how one body can judge him ineligible and then another one change that judgement when they are supposed to be judging by the same set of criteria....

anyway, great to hear that he is back...

Man I hate that he would be apart from the team again. First kicked off then he wins his appeal and still apart from them? Damn kid can't catch a break.
