No. 8-seed LSU (33-23, 15-15 SEC) will play No. 9-seed Mississippi State (31-24, 15-15 SEC) on Tuesday in the opening round of the SEC Tournament at 4:30 p.m. CT on The SEC Network.

The winner will go on to play No. 1-seed Florida on Wednesday and the loser will be eliminated from the tournament.

Starting pitchers for the game expected to be announced on Monday afternoon.

LSU went 2-1 earlier this season vs. Mississippi State at Alex Box Stadium.

I'm not sure what Mississippi State has shown that makes you think this? Yes, they played exceptionally well against UF, but this is baseball, not football. Anything can happen and CPM has shown on multiple occasions that he can get it done in Hoover.
