LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri announced Thursday that sophomore right-handed pitcher Jake Godfrey will be transferring to a junior college at the end of the fall semester. Per LSUSports.net:

“Jake has expressed to me his desire to transfer, and my understanding is that he would like to enroll and pitch at a junior college,” Mainieri said. “We wish him the best as he continues his baseball career.”
Godfrey appeared in 21 games during his freshman season posting a 7-1 mark and a 4.61 ERA.
