Per LSUSports.net: New Orleans reliever Beau Blanchard limited LSU to two runs on six hits in 7.2 innings Tuesday night to lead the Privateers to a 9-4 win over the Tigers at Maestri Field.

UNO improved to 22-16 on the year, while LSU dropped to 27-13.

The Tigers return to action at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday when they play host to Georgia in Game 1 of a three-game Southeastern Conference series in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. The game will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and streamed on SEC Network +.

Wrong......we never did 'get good' just because of a four game win streak last week. The middle infield of this LSU team might be the worst I have witnessed in two decades. LSU is 'good enough' to win some games but will NOT make a run at any level of championship play this year (this in not on JJ). Next year, different story....GEAUX TIGAS!

LSU will not be good until they fix the middle infield errors. Will not happen this year so lower your expectations. This is NOT on JJ as he inherited a team/program on the slide. Next year, different story......GEAUX TIGAS!

But, UNO scored only in 3 innings. LSU scored in FOUR innings! So, LSU won that battle by the score of 4-3. That's a moral victory!
