LSU infielder Josh Smith will see a doctor this week to have his back looked at, according to head coach Paul Mainieri.

Smith missed 38 games due to a back injury but returned to the lineup last week vs. Lamar, going 2-for-3 with a home run.

He played in Thursday's game vs. Ole Miss but was pulled from Friday's game after just three innings and did not play in Saturday's series finale.

Chiropractors are most certainly doctors. The Head of Sports Medicine for the US Olympic Team is a Chiropractor; also every NFL team has a Chiropractor on staff…. they see the value and benefit of a good Chiropractor.

Put him on the shelf for the year. Let him come back at 100% next year when we could make a run.
