by Staff Reporter

Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports
LSU left-handed pitcher Javen Coleman announced on Twitter Tuesday night that he is returning to the team next season.
Coleman, a redshirt sophomore from Richmond, Texas, was recently selected in the 16th round of the MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers but will be staying in Baton Rouge.
Coleman had a strong freshman campaign in 2021 but suffered a season-ending injury his sophomore year that required Tommy John surgery in March of 2022.
He appeared in eight games, with four starts in 2023, posting a 1-2 record in 14.0 innings with 16 walks and 21 strikeouts.
