I like it. If we win game 1, love having our ace going game 2 to close the series.

This has been pawls play for 13 years how’s it worked out so far. 82% of series winners in the supers win game one. Let’s throw a kid with arm problems in the biggest game of the season. So glad he’s finally gone SO GLAD.

Hopefully Hilliard is on but, if not you may have somewhat of a backwards Johnny Wholestaff situation going. Actually isn’t a bad deal if some of the young guys pitch like they did in Oregon. Plus Marceaux shouldn’t be going against the UT ace which is a plus.

The arms showed up in Oragone. Arms that hadn’t performed all year. If that continues, we should be good.

Technically he's not going on short rest, when he pitched Monday, that was his bullpen day anyway, so he would've been throwing that day anyways. But yes, extra day of rest definitely doesn't hurt

Y’all had a good year, but it’s our time. Sorry, Vol.

I don’t understand this. Why wouldn’t you pitch your best guy when he’s rested? It’s mot like he’s going on short rest.

Doesn’t matter which day he pitches. Gotta win 2 games regardless. So May as well have your ace on the mound for either a close out game and advance or to pitch to play for Monday if you lose Saturday. Not actually a bad idea really.

"It’s mot like he’s going on short rest".... Uh yea he is. He threw Monday on short/ no rest. And now he's throwing on 6 days rest instead of 7...

Is 7 days rest really necessary or is that just customary because that’s how many days a week contains?
