Per LSUSports.net: HAMMOND, La. -- Sophomore third baseman Jake Slaughter sent a pitch over the centerfield wall to put the Tigers within one run in the bottom of the eighth inning, but it was not enough as the No. 14 LSU baseball team fell to the Southeastern Lions, 5-4, Wednesday night at Alumni Field.

Will be a very long season if have losses to some the worst baseball teams in college baseball and he has not found a plan to figure out his pitching problem

SLU will make a regional again this year, just like they have for the past few years. They aren't a bad team by any means. However, our pitching has got to get better or the SEC will be a long conference schedule this year.
