Projected as a top-100 draft pick, McKay informed all MLB teams that he will honor his commitment to LSU. Per

"I reached a decision a couple of days ago through a lot of prayer," said the 6-foot-5, 225-pound native of Spring Branch in South Texas. He starred at Smithson Valley High near San Antonio.

"My parents were involved in the process and we all just felt like the Lord was leading me to LSU. With my family's support, I just feel like it was the wise decision for me."
