"It was a great year" vintage 9-3 with full-bodied losses to FLA, ALA, TAMU: 1-6 vs Fisher, Mullen, Saban. We have gone from Alleva "Expecting Miles to Compete for Championships Every Year" to "Go Out There And Exceed Expectations".

LINK A Better Look At OBJ to Shepard LINK OBJ: Responds to critics after win "I never question O's effort," wide receiver Russell Shepard said. "Never question his heart. He wants to win. He's a big reason why we won. He gave us emotion. He gave us leadership. He said some things to us pregame and halftime that pushed us up over the top." Post game: Reporter tried to dis OBJ for not diving into a scrum for onsides kick: "Nobody should ever question my effort or my heart. That's the last thing you can do. You can question me as a person, as a man, whatever you want to do. But my heart and my effort can never be questioned -- ever." Shepard: "Never question his heart. He wants to win. #1 ESPN, Dupre practiced 2 yrs with the Saints in HS and set the 2014 SPARQ record with his 43.5" Vertical. With only 98 catches, Dupre had more Yards, YPC, & TDs (14) as a FR (5) & Soph (6) than either Beckham or Landry & leaves with 14 TDs, 2 more than Beckham, 1 less than Landry. He did that with 40% less catches. Dupre & Harris connected on 10 of his 14 TDs & 3 of his 5 100 yd games & Dupre was #3 in the nation w/23 YPC as a FR. But like Dural they both had drastically reduced stats in 2016. No Analyst is going to penalize them for playing in an Off that absurdly ranked 120th, 119th, & 116th in pass ATTs which makes absolutely no sense since Pass Plays were more productive than Rushing. W/O Tempo/Spread & in Miles/Cam's 1-2WR 2TE/FB sets Dupre was forced to beat double coverage. LSU ranked last in Pace of Play & Plays/Game, 1/2 of CLEM/ALA, except when they turned FR Harris/Dupre loose in a shotgun spread/HUNH for 2 min vs MSST & spread vs NMST. Compared to Clemson's Sr. Mike Williams who had Tempo & Space, Harris/Dupre & all the QBs/WRs were hamstrung w/6 transferring out. Dupre made unbelivable leaping & 1-handed catches & his Combine should shoot him up the charts. 28 Pt 2nd Qtr FLA Highlights: Early fumble by LF gave FLA easy 7-0 lead, then 9 yd TD, 52 yd flea flicker, 3rd&9 50 yd TD with 27 secs & 4 DL chasing grabbing Harris, 3 DBs covering Dupre for a 28-14 halftime lead. Miles' Heisman campaign and the slow, predictable I formation contributed to the loss at WISC and the 3 losses to ALA,ARK,OM. It hurt the Passing Game, the DTQBs, drove away recruits, and 5 WRs. Plus LF was playing w/a pre-season high ankle sprain and was not 100%, had 11 carries for 35 yds lst Half, 0 TDs in the game, and aggravated that injury. He is not the agile, tackle breaking 2015 ESPN Sports Science "Adrian Peterson Phenom" LINK who makes cuts in 0.2 seconds, faster than the blink of an eye, with 3Gs of force on his ankles, running 21 mph. He is heavier, slower, and after 5 games has 2 TDs vs 11, 350 yds vs the 1,022 he had after 5 games last year when he was the fastest player to reach 1,000 yds: more than the total for 70 FBS teams. The SCAR game last yr and the Missouri games were carbon copies, 624 vs 634 yds offense, 45 vs 42 pts. "Fournette takes advantage of shotgun" reaffirmed that RBs run far better out of the multi-option shotgun than the predictable I formation which robs DTQBs of Tempo, RPOs, and accuracy. Guice also had 161 yds in the SCAR game, so rotating 2 backs kept them fresh. LF turns 22 in Jan. RBs have the shortest NFL career, 2.5 yrs avg. He will be 26, past his prime, if he reaches free agency. ALA,ARK,OM,TAMU are top 20 teams and
