Had this happen in my front yard once......the BOOM and flash were simultaneuos and man was it loud.

Don't play with lightning. Buddy of mine was struck playing a round, ended up on the ground looking up. He said it was a beautiful day and had one dark cloud in the distance. Body was screwed up for a couple of weeks due to electricity in his body.
